Joe "retired" in late 1999 after selling publicly 2 internet companies (he was at the forefront of the dot com boom in 1996). He needed something to do is when he decided to start another business.

Joe "retired" in late 1999 after selling publicly 2 internet companies (he was at the forefront of the dot com boom in 1996). He needed something to do is when he decided to start another business.
After Joe started the new business, one of his clients, Barry from South Carolina wanted to personally meet Joe. Barry drove down to Florida where he met and stayed on Joe's property in the guest house. Barry didn't come alone. He came with his sister Tracy. At that point is when Joe was hooked. Tracy was a sweet, quiet woman with a beautiful South Carolina accent and all. During the visit, Joe took Tracy on one of his Harley's and showed Tracy all around the beautiful Florida area. At first, Tracy was a little standoffish as Tracy was a conservative woman from the south and Joe is conservative but he wasn't letting Tracy get away.
After a couple months of long distant conversations Joe won her over and they started dating long distance where Joe would drive up to South Carolina and Tracy would drive down and occasionally fly down to see Joe in Florida. At some point (Joe doesn't remember the year, don't tell Tracy) in the relationship Joe asked Tracy to quit her job in South Carolina and move down to Florida. After considering it for a few weeks, Tracy agreed and that's when Joe and Tracy became a couple and team. The rest is history as Tracy just informed Joe it was 2009 when they met.
Joe and Tracy successfully sold the new business in 2016 where it still thrives to this day. At that point is when Joe decided to fully retire and start traveling while still residing in their Florida home. They bought Class "A" RV Diesel Pusher. Home on wheels!
Joe and Tracy traveled extensively for almost 6 years visiting just about every state with the exception of 3; Oregon, Washington State and California (by choice). They traveled 72,000 miles visiting many states multiples times but always returned to their home in Florida as a base. What a country! Joe says... if you're thinking about vacations and traveling, before flying overseas to Europe (where they don't even like Americans), see the USA!
Not only did Joe & Tracy travel but also bought up a storm visiting many coin dealers/shows throughout our great country.
Time to settle down:
After traveling around, Joe decided it would be best to move up to South Carolina and be closer to Tracy's son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. In 2022, Joe & Tracy decided to move to the Clemson area, near Tracy's hometown of Anderson where she was born and raised.
After buying a home, Joe saw this vacant store on Clemson Boulevard and said to Tracy that it would make a great coin store. Joe decided he still wanted to sort of work and opening a coin store in Pendleton would be a great base to hang out with something to do instead of sitting around home watching TV and going to Publix. He thought how busy could it get in Pendleton, a sort of Mayberry. Little did he know it would turn out to be a great location and thriving business that it has become.
Together Joe & Tracy make up a buying & selling mega force with inventory second to none in Greenville, Anderson, Pendleton, Clemson, Simpsonville & the surrounding areas and the whole of South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee.
